Jayden Joseph-Tubes

On Thursday, September7th, 2010 Jayden got tubes put in his ears. We had to get up at 4:30 a.m. and got ready to head to the hospital. I loaded Jayden in the truck, Binky, Teddy, and Blankie in tow. He was not allowed to have any fluids or food untill after the surgery, so he was not happy about that. My Dad, Jayden, and I left my house at about 5:15 and made it to National Park Medical Center at 5:25. We met Jayden's Dad, Daniel, in  the parkinglot of the outpatient center. We trotted our way into the building, got onto the elevator, and checked in at the nurses desk. They sent us to our room, and me and Jayden got settled into the bed. My dad and Daniel were sitting at the little table and chairs drinking coffee and eating snacks. The nurses came in periodically and ran many tests. After the first couple of tests, Jayden caught on to the trend, and was terrified of the nurses. At about 6:30, the anaesthesiologist came into the room and explained the procedure to me. After he left, the nurse came and got me and Jayden, and we walked back into the holding room. We sat there on the bed while nurses and the doctor filled out Jayden's paperwork. We waited for like five minutes, while the nurses whizzed around us. They told me to set him down on the bed, and they pre-occupied him while i walked away. About fifteen minutes later, Dr. Vallerie walked out into the waiting room, and told us that everything went fine and Jayden was okay. We went back into the hospital room and waited on Jayden. The nurse brought him to me, and he was very upset. I eventually got him calmed down and we were able to leave about thirty minutes later.

Now it has been 5 days, and he is doing better than ever.

Difference Makers: Ms. Henderson & Mrs. Bush

Ms. Henderson:
This wonderful woman has helped me through hard times this year. I have an 18 month old son and I ask her for advice as I need it. She is a wonderful Comp teacher and its amazing how much she does for this school. I look up to her and I wish to be a wonderful person like her one day.

Mrs. Bush:
Mrs. Bush is my Desktop Publishing teacher. She is very nice and she has made a difference in my life. She helps me with problems I have at school and she listens when I need to vent. I am so grateful to heave her as my teacher because she has made a huge difference in my life.
